Whislist:
  • Improve Windows Vista / Windows 7 compatibility (look and feel of application). [scheduled for release 3.2]
  • Take Ownership of profile content before removal. [scheduled for release 3.3]
  • Extend ADSI (active Directory) support for OU, users and workstations. [scheduled for release 3.4]
  • Improve LanMan workstation and users support. [scheduled for release 3.4]


May 2nd 2010:
Remote Profile Cleaner 3.2a (build 584) Beta

What's updated:
  • 100% Vista and Windows 7 compatible (look and feel of application) done
  • storage location for data files changed to Vista / 7 default location. (\ProgramData\) done

May 24th 2010:
Remote Profile Cleaner 3.1a (build 542) Final

What's updated:
  • All remote registry inquiries replaced by WMI inquiries. done

July 30th 2009:
Remote Profile Cleaner 3.0c (build 514) Final

What's fixed:
  • Profile backup path syntax mistakes will now be adjusted correctly (configuration settings). done
  • Computer name will be correctly added to the backup path when profile backup is enabled. done
  • WMI will no longer connect when mapping to a remote workstation fails (occurred only when ping was disabled). done
  • WMI will no longer try to disconnect when no connection was established. done
  • SID will no longer be removed from the remote computers registry when profile rules indicate that the profile should not be deleted. done

We strongly advise all 3.0b users that use both "profile rules" and "SID registry cleaning" to switch to release 3.0c.

Important:
Due to the introduction of Administrative Templates the Remote Profile Cleaner configuration files and folder structures have been adjusted. Remote Profile Cleaner will automatically convert all files created with previous versions, found in the default installation folder, to the new file format and in the updated folder structure. Old files can still be opened but no longer be used for command-line sessions. Use the Command Line Syntax Wizard to create valid, error free, command line syntax for usage with Administrative Templates.

  • Log File now shows amount of folders, amount of files and profile size for each profile folder. done

  • Small adjustment that forces the Operating System not to remember the network connection created by Remote Profile Cleaner (when connecting to a remote workstation). done

Remote Profile Cleaner 2.7c (build 418) Final

What's fixed:
  • SmartClean engine hotfix applied. Under some conditions the old SmartClean engine fails to process subfolders when the subfolder is located in a folder that contains no other files. This has been adjusted. done

October 1st 2006:

    Existing errors / bugs:
    • Remote Profile Cleaner fails to clean files if the total character length (drive + path + filename) exceeds 255 characters. This will not be fixed until release 2.7
    • PopUp dialogs can not handle % characters (due to an bug in LMD components). This will be fixed as soon as LMD Innovative releases LMD-Tools SE 7.00.61. Till then all % characters in popup dialogs are converted to / characters.


    note: Remote Profile Cleaner 2.6a uses a new file format and can NOT handle configuration files (*.pc2c) created with previous versions! (an import function is added to convert version 2.5 and older configuration files.)
